Job Title: Server Support (Alliance Bernstein)
Level: L1/L2/L3
Experience: 2-8 yrs
1) Systems administrator (Windows/Solaris/LINUX)
a) Minimum of 2 years experience with the operating platform. Candidates must be familiar with:
i) System backup and recovery process and technologies
(1) Create/change/delete backup jobs and schedules
(2) Understanding of industry standard backup methodologies
(3) Experience with various recovery technologies such as synchronous data replication, high availability applications, data restoration, rapid provisioning
ii) System provisioning process and technologies
(1) Accessing and updating Windows configuration files
(2) Add and configure CPU, memory, and storage devices(local and SAN based)
iii) System security process and technologies
(1) Operating system access and file system security change and modification
(2) Operating system ID provisioning and de-provisioning
iv) System change management process and technologies
(1) Updating hardware drivers
(2) Updated operating system patch and patch clusters
(3) Change/remove X86 hardware components (IBM and/or HP)
v) System monitoring/escalation/troubleshooting and technologies
(1) Systematic and logical troubleshooting skills and sense of urgency
(2) Experience with problem management process and technologies
Job Title: Mainframe Production Support
Level: L1/L2
Experience: 1-5 yrs
The job involves:
• Operations of mainframe computers, peripherals, and mainframe network devices which include but are not limited to IBM mainframe systems using operating system and network commands
• Monitors computer system(s) availability and performance using software tools and reports anomalies as per protocol
• Manage and process batch jobs and manage batch schedules
• Manage the OS/390 , Z/OS and VM operations console
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules
• Manage command centre physical security
Educational Requirements:
• Minimum is college graduate in Computer Science/MIS.
