Job Description
Technical Skills:

Knowledge and practical experience of:

Technical report writing
AIX – latest operating system versions
Knowledge of hardware architecture and design
Operating system
Backup and recovery strategies
Storage management architecture
Scripting
System administration functionality and exploitation
User maintenance
Filesystem and Volume manager maintenance
Kernal changes
System shutdown/reboot
Patch installation
System recovery
Network configuration
Unicenter and Bladelogic knowledge (preferred)
Tivoli storage manager configuration and problem solving within Unix environment


Knowledge and practical experience of some of the following is desirable:

Clustering and high availability
Other flavours of Unix
