Thomson R & D centres Bangalore are in search of Senior IT Analyst

Presently our client Thomson www.thomson.net .Thomson-Bangalore are actively looking for A Senior IT Analysis for their R& D Centre.
Thomson is seting up their First of its kind R&D centres in India at Bangalore (whitefield),I would appreciate if u could spend sufficient time on this assignment
· Strong expertise with unix systems administration – Solaris and Linux. Should have hands-on experience in designing and implementing NIS, NFS, Automount, DNS, Samba, Jumpstart and kickstart.

· Proficiency with common UNIX system administration tools. Able to perform security, performance tuning and applying patches on UNIX servers. Should be able to automate repeatable task using scripts (either shell or Perl).

· Strong expertise with clearcase administration on UNIX. Like creation of VOB server, View server, License server, VOB replication, permissions and multi site clearcase. Planning for clearcase licenses and clearcase server hardware’s. Should be able to perform migration of version control i.e. from CVS to Clearcase.

· Strong expertise in trouble shooting version control problem – both on the server and client side.

· Strong expertise in design and implementing Veritas Netbackup on UNIX. Sound knowledge about master server, media server, EMM, NBU Catalogs and storage units.

· Designing and planning for disaster recovery of THIDC site.

· Should be also able to perform windows server administration.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Solaris/MCSE certification is a must. Other applicable certifications like CCNA are a plus.

· Exhibits leadership qualities and strong procedural and architectural documentation skills, experience with related tools(such as Microsoft Vision)

· Flexible, adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks.

· Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management.
