As the Infrastructure Win Tel Specialist your responsibilities will include:-
-Wintel / Windows 2000/2003 Servers
-ownership and management of the Win Tel server Platform / Infrastructure
-own issues and proactively resolve them;
-maintenance of operations procedures;
-support for the 50 + Servers / Datacenters / platforms (NOT Desktop Support) in conjunction with application owners.
- Strong consulting skills, flexibility and resourcefulness
3-6 years' experience in one or more of the following:
System administration skills on 2000/2003/2008
Excellent communication skills
Experience in Server administration & troubleshooting
MCSA/MCSE certification

The RSC Wintel team provides infrastructure support on Microsoft Windows platforms Servers and VMWare to HP customers worldwide. It is a part of ITO Global Center India.
Details:
- To provide L3 support on Microsoft Windows OS platform servers and Vmware
- Multiple customers across the globe with differing shift timings and support processes
- Incident/problem/change management
- Analysis of the environment and perform root cause analysis for identified problems
- The role will report to a Delivery Manager
- Bachelors degree in engineering; diploma holders will be considered in exceptional cases
- At least 5 years of experience on Microsoft server platforms
- Previous experience of a process-oriented support environment in a similar organization
- Relevant certifications highly desirable
- Excellent communication and technical skills
- Need to be flexible in terms of work timings, location etc
Responsible for the build and configuration of all W2K systems, monitoring of systems with 3rd party tools (OpenView, Mercury, Quest Foglight) and Java scripting, repair of hardware, run regular backups of systems, testing and installing patches and upgrades, installation of Siebel application and components, systems security
Mandatory Skills:
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory architecture and all subcomponents including Directory Services, Securities, Sites/Subnets, DDNS, WINS, DHCP.
Generate report and review the same with L1/L2 teams, Provide audit support
Understanding of Networking concepts (Examples: TCP/IP, Switch/Port configurations, Trunking, VLAN management), Experience with a large Enterprise environment that is part of the Microsoft TAP program with early adoption support including support of Beta
